The Editor Garden

OUR STORY

The Founding Editors at The Editor Garden all started with an idea for a story, a desire to write, and a need to connect with a writing community.
The Editor Garden began with three women: Kimberly Smith Ashley, a dedicated writer and business woman running a successful writing and editing company; Nancy Stone, a writer with extensive experience in teaching, coaching, and editing; and Laurie Dennison, a writer and web consultant with editing and mentorship experience. They met in a writing critique group in Jacksonville, Florida. Even with all the years of education and professional editing experience, they knew that to truly thrive as writers, they needed a community to both give and receive support. Kimberly, Nancy, and Laurie all worked in editing professionally and became critique partners in their personal time. They realized that by combining those professional services with a supportive sense of community, they could create a new vision for writing, editing, and coaching.
